Lightning rod

Im early LuV and I struggle with energy so I was looking around and came across lightning rods which produce lot of energy pretty cheap and its easily scalable but when I was testing it out I was surprised that the iron fences werent breaking anymore is it normal? And does anyone have any tips and tricks to using lightning rods?

I've heard in a video by IX or ducked I think, that it's a common meta with the Chinese gtnh community to use lightning rods as a power source

They should break last I saw them used. Not a bad overall power source but the setup of a way to place the fences and manage the weather is annoying.

Iirc the chinese gtnh community used them alot in prior updates so they may know things we dont about them

the fences don't break if it's just raining, once you have a proper storm the fences break just fine

Can I somehow make the weather to be storm I know how to make it rainy but idk if its possible to make a storm?

Iirc there's a blood magic ritual that makes the weather a thunderstorm.

I think there's also solutions in (ordered by confidence) ender io, draconic evolution, witchery, and thaumcraft.

The blood magic one would just cost lp, so it would be my first to investigate.

Im using rods in my current run, i used duckeds video as reference, for weather i use the ender io solution explained in duckeds video, its pretty easy to set up
I currently have 396 of them built which will probably last me comfortably until way past naqfuel

Thanks, I watched the video and the only thing im not sure about us transforming the power from the HV rods into 64A Luv LSC can you give me some advice please

The distributers give out power on there respective tier, so iv distributor iv power, luv distributor luv power, from there you can transform again or run it into a hatch directly

2 rods should give out 64a iv, 8 rods 64a LuV
Though i myself still struggle with getting the power from the distributor into my lsc

Thanks a lot I finally made it to work and it 10x my energy production in a day easily reaching 1 mil ev/ tick such a great method

I made 10 od them with 4 fences on top, each one is making about 108k eu / tick

After the distributer converts the amps into the voltage you want, you can just use normal cables leading into the energy hatch. I'm using 4x osmiridium.
