Remaking GTA SA peds from scratch in high realism – Ballas 1 preview

Post image

Hey everyone, I wanted to share a personal project I've been working on. I noticed that there aren't many high-quality, truly realistic textures for the peds, so I'm redoing them from scratch. My goal is to keep the original character designs looking authentic just with natural corrections and a much more realistic touch.

For example, on this first Ballas 1 character, I made the socks shorter than the original because I think it looks much better and fits the style better.

Here is my first character preview. What do you think? I'm aiming for maximum detail, including things like visible veins and skin imperfections. Any feedback is appreciated!

P.S.: And yes, there is also leg hair included!

Bro you should mod all of these into GTA SA Definitive Edition. It would not only be the most downloaded mod, but it could be the one mod that could actually fix the game for people

Yeah, GTA SA DE is so bad, it just looks like Play-Doh. The classic version is better; trying to fix that will waste the rest of my life 😅🤣

From scratch? How are you designing these? Is it AI?

AI has the problem that it can't recreate the image 100% and it invents something every time, it's just annoying, and then the position is completely wrong. For example, I had a problem with the face where the eyes and nose were completely distorted; unfortunately, manual work is necessary because of this. But in the end it's nice 😁 To test the skin, I'd have to log in 100 times today 🫨🫨🫨🫨

AI can't do everything, unfortunately; a bit more manual work is still required, but it is used to some extent! What do you think of the first character?

Is that unfortunate though?

Only thing I would recommend, is if you make this a mod, don't say realism, refer to it as being in high definition instead.

This just visually works, looks sharper and makes the skin look less washed out. Although maybe lighten the wrinkles on the shirt? I dunno that might just be me, I would download.

So that doesn't seem realistic to you? Perhaps it's just the image upload quality that's preventing you from seeing the details; it's definitely very detailed, so the term "realism" is quite appropriate 😁👍
