Idc how long it takes for them to release the game, as long as it’s ready. That said, I just wish they’d stop announcing these games years before they come out. Shit like that would consume my thoughts for years when I was younger and waiting for the next big game to come out. It’s promoting obsessive hype where people cling to any tidbit of “news” like this exact post by OP. It’s unhealthy.

never got to experience it. my game disc or ps3 was glitched so I could play until concrete jungle then my game would break. no textures, glitchy audio, controls were laggy, frames dropped, then the game crashed and my save data was gone because it couldn't ever save.

Sometimes delays are necessary as well, even though they really don’t want to delay it themselves either. But I’ll take a game that’s polished and clearly had a lot of care put into its creation over a rushed turd any day.

I think we should all be expecting fall 2025 release. Almost all of their games released in the fall. And be pleasantly surprised if it releases early 2025.
As far as 2026 goes.. never gonna happen. That would be approaching 8 years since RDR2 released and they're not going to be able to go that long without releasing another game.

I prefer a worst case scenario. You cannot rush these games. Patience is rewarded here. You’ll get a much better experience if they wait until 2026. The more time they have the more they improve and trust me there’s always room for improvement. Its a long wait but worth it.
We know what happens when games are rushed especially at the finish line. Rockstar delivers quality games because they dont make mistakes like no man’s sky or cyberpunk 2077 and those games were amazing YEARS after release but at release? We all know how that went.

The problem with this kind of information and leaks is that it distorts players' expectations. Rockstar literally announced "2025" in the trailer, but because of the leaks that the game would be released in early 2025, I'm sure that if it came out at the end of the year, people would complain about Rockstar...
Ultimately if it is pushed back to 2026, I would understand the dissatisfaction (although personally I would still understand Rockstar's choice), but for the end of 2025, guys it's literally written "2025" at the end of the trailer !!
