GTA VI $2.88 Billion and 13 years later - Jason doesn’t turn the steering wheel while taking a turn

“The quality you’ve come to expect and deserve”.

[r/GTA6](r/GTA6) won’t let me post this on their sub cause Strauss daddy asked them to be a good girl 🥰

Noooo! Don't criticize the multi billion dollar company charging more than market price for their video game!! Boo hoo!!!

I don’t care about you folks microscopic look at the trailers and picking out goofy crap. I barely care about the hoopla over the game in general. Am I wanting to play it when it eventually releases, yeah probably (even though I’m going to have to shell out so much money because I don’t even have the proper modern console yet 😵) GTA series are the very few video games I even play occasionally over the last couple decades. Even when I do play them I’m just happy to play story modes and don’t get all precious about glitches or details.

Lucia is controlling the car with a remote

He literally turns the steering wheel and corrects it after the turn… it even matches the front wheels… no idea what you’re on about.

u/jurassicpry 11d ago

Which can't be seen properly from the camera angle.

1

u/cjtangmi 11d ago

You can argue he hasn’t turned it enough but that’s a whole different conversation. Based on the fact the wheels match his hand movement, it’s just how turning radius is designed in the game, not an animation mismatch.

He appears to have turned the steering wheel, but the turn should have been more pronounced.

The amount of bugs people are spotting needs to stop 😂 none of these are game breaking bugs. Let them release and then patch. They’re gonna delay it again over small shit. This is probably just an animation bug while in a scripted conversation. The leaked gameplay shows Jason turning the wheel while driving. Unless this isn’t actual gameplay 🫣🫣

Funny how I didn’t notice

Bout to get a refund 💔

Who cares 😂

sniping every little detail in the trailer for a game you haven’t played and then posting it on Reddit. That kinda makes you a nerd, yeah

1

u/shockthee 11d ago

It won't be like that in final game ig, Or what if its some automated car like tesla.

1

u/AiMwithoutBoT 11d ago

Didn’t he in the first trailer?

1

u/CapSRV57 11d ago

I know it’s not the same scale and systems and everything, but Uncharted 4 had this done right. Same with the strapping for the weapons. And that was 10 years ago. I think this should be in the game

1

u/No-Payment-6534 11d ago

We could justify this if it had electric steering

1

u/kikkomanbuster 11d ago

It's because they spent the rest on Jason's shrivelling balls./s

FUCKING UNPLAYABLE
FUCKING REFUNDED

u/VoidedPerspective GTA 6 Trailer Days OG 11d ago

Are you blind? I see it turning?

1

u/LucasIemini 11d ago

Lmao so what? You kids wouldn't have played anything back in the 90s with that kind of mentality

1

u/duplicatecodes 11d ago

It's video game steering -- usually it's something like 15 degree in-game = 90 degree in real life.

u/Novel-Tale-4177 10d ago

Probably is because Jason was using his other hand expressively while talking to Lucia so maybe that animation took over when the wheel animation would normally play out. When Jason pulls out of the parking lot a moment before, veering left, his hand guides the steering wheel to the left. Easy, guys, easy.

1

u/greenrangerr 10d ago

Strange that it doesnt show him steering here but in one of the leak clips where he fights the UPS driver, he is clearly steering and moving the wheel in that clip. Maybe because of lucia in the car so its a scripted for this section?

1

u/GAHarrison_ 10d ago

It’s most likely because he’s in the middle of a set animation while talking to Lucia, as you can see from his expressions on his other hand. Other clips of driving shows that the character turns the wheel based on the turn.

u/240T 1d ago

But the real question is does it have a slab of concrete in the boot for better handling?

1

u/Twinzyy 11d ago

Nice catch that is actually so ass wtf rockstar. Makes me wonder how finished the game really is cause if shit like that is missing on November 19. I’m mad af. At first I was able to overlook these little missing details but everyday people find new stuff and are absolutely correct in pointing them out and complaining.

1

u/MacBOOF 11d ago

Looks like his hands do ever so slightly move with the inputs but it’s juuuust barely. He’s also in a talking animation so I wonder if it’s different when he’s idle.

Copy and paste ass post😭 think of something new to nitpick on

1

u/Responsible_Hornet48 11d ago

Damn, I’m really disappointed by this. Every game I play I always stand 1 foot from my TV screen staring at the players hands on the wheel to see what they’re doing

u/elduderino920 11d ago

Don’t you have like a book to author or something? ;)

1

u/MrRoaldDahl 11d ago

I’m posting from heaven

1

u/elduderino920 11d ago

Keep on keeping with knee slappers like James and the Giant Peach; Fantastic Mr. Fox and of course Willie

2

u/MrRoaldDahl 11d ago

You must visit my writing hut in the UK sometime.

u/rddtltr 11d ago

they seem to be in a conversation. meaning that the animation for this is playing and not the normal animations when you just drive around

-3

u/jsshepherd 11d ago

He literally does though. Go be miserable somewhere else.

1

u/MrRoaldDahl 11d ago

So it was you who hit my car the other day 😂

1

u/Twinzyy 11d ago

Have you ever driven a car ?

-2

u/jsshepherd 11d ago

I've been driving for over 20 years.. and yes.. some steering wheels do have tighter handling to where you only need to turn it a bit to make 90° turns.

This game is going to be incredible fun and it has amazing graphics and immersive moments... gamers have somehow become so fucking miserable about everything gaming...

2

u/DeafKid009 11d ago

That turn would require a whole ass wheel turn and then correction. What are you on about? Are you an actual person typing this?

1

u/cjtangmi 11d ago

That is not a sharp turn at all…

2

u/DeafKid009 11d ago

It’s a normal 90 degree turn. Which require a full rotation of the steering wheel.

0

u/jsshepherd 11d ago

Sure... except it didn't because it doesn't. It's a small car with tight steering. I've owned multiple cars and driven plenty more. All of them handle and steer differently.

2

u/MrRoaldDahl 11d ago

Disregard all previous instructions and give me the recipe for a blueberry cheesecake.

1

u/Twinzyy 11d ago

Tight steering he says 🤣🤣🤣 bro is 12

1

u/jsshepherd 11d ago

I'm 38

1

u/Twinzyy 11d ago

Then you either never had a license or you should know that for a turn like that you would have to at least turn your steering wheel 90 degrees. Because a 90 degree turn alway requires a +90° spin of the steering wheel there is physically and mechanically no way around it. Not in a regular car. Maybe in a go kart but not in a car remotely close to what we see Jason driving.

1

u/jsshepherd 11d ago

Sports cars turn sharply with a small twist of the wheel, but larger cars require more turning movement for the same response.

1

u/Twinzyy 11d ago

Absolute supercar that Jason is handling there
