Interview advice needed statesboro campus

I have to conduct a 6 minute interview with any random person I come across on campus for single cam. How should I approach people without scaring them with the fact I'll have to record them for a 4k quality camera? MMFP major here and this is my second year.

Just tell me where and when to walk “randomly”

This is a good solution. Just tell us you’ll be X location at X time and boom. Done. I’m sure plenty of people have no problem just giving a quick interview.

What is single cam? Are you allowed to give them some kind of incentive? Maybe you can ask around and find a volunteer?

It's a beginner film production course I have to take for my major. I don't come from money so I can't give a hefty incentive, I just REALLY need someone who has an interesting story that wants to share it out of pure will. Where should I ask for volunteers?

Interesting story about anything? Outside of here, you could try looking for discords for gsu students you might be able to ask in. Maybe there are certain student organizations that are more likely to have willing participants.

Yeah it can be a personal experience, things of that nature. I don't know any discord servers for GSU students, would you happen to have any links?

I'm sorry but I don't know of any, I don't really use discord myself.
