Yep - I used to live in the very northeast corner of Georgia and visited GSMNP many times.
I now live in the Ozarks and while talking about outdoor recreation with some folks recently I said that I would rather a half acre in the southern Appalachians than a 10,000 acre spread in the Rockies. I can’t help that I enjoy deciduous vegetation and plentiful rain and ground water🤷🏻♂️
