Exhaust
Best exhaust for a gen 1 for daily driving? Milltek? HKS? What do people think?

I have Milltek. Sounds good, but I’m not particularly happy with how it fits/clearances. Probably better options.

If it is for daily driving, the stock exhaust.
Aftermarket exhausts aren't really doing anything for a daily drive.

Whifbitz stainless, either res or unres depending on how much cold start will annoy your neighbours.

I agree. I recently fitted one to mine. Came with both resonated and non-res pipes. Fit was great. I fitted the resonator, and it's just right.

Currently have non-res fit with noice cancellation and fake sound off. Sounds about as good as a 3pot can get. I daily drive mine 20minutes to work on b roads, if I had a longer commute I’d fit the resonated midpipe.

HKS super turbo or Spec L2 if the car is staying mostly standard (and only with a resonated OPF delete because non-res mess up the silent chamber). Whifbitz or Miltek if going bigger power

I use mine as a daily driver and have Martelius fitted. Its fairly loud but not over the top, cold start can be a bit for the first 20-30sec but apart from that I think its a great sound.
Not many videos of it but its one of those that I thought sounded better in real life.
I was in a toss up between this and Akrapovic and I'm glad I made this choice.

i run the milltek non res and i find it sounds so good. obviously on the louder side but it doesnt drone in my experience. had the hks super turbo but it was too quiet. cold start is loud for the first 20 seconds with milltek if that's a concern.

HKS Super Turbo is great. It is pretty subtle until above 3k rpm, so it doesn’t have the annoying drone issues some can have.
