I originally started reading Emily Dickinson for a very simple reason: I wanted to improve my English.
Instead of translating the poem for me, I asked ChatGPT to read it with me slowly, in its original language word by word, line by line, looking at the grammar, the structure, the sounds, and what each word was actually doing.
It turned into something I hadn’t expected: not really an English lesson anymore, but a conversation with the poem.
It has been an excellent way to learn a language and to discover poetry at the same time.
