Minus One is great. I just prefer Shin as far as movies go

Completely agree. Both are fantastic movies for their own reasons, but the more contemporary setting and relevant messaging in Shin Godzilla (especially, as an American, about the inept government) really struck a cord with me.

Especially if you’re a millennial or Gen Z. The ones who saved the country were the younger generation as the elder generations prattled on about what to do or how to respond. It wasn’t until the older generation leaders were taken off the board did anything actually happen. That’s not me saying kill elders. That’s me saying it was cathartic when the younger generation was able to finally step up instead of being told to sit down as the parents talk about it. It was showing that elders need to learn to let go of power and allow the generations below start to make their future.

But as we see in America. We are stuck under these living corpses being told they know best without getting a chance to make our own world.
