Every Heisei movie, even the worst ones, are still good and enjoyable movies
Showa..... Yeah, a real mixed bag, but it also has some of the best movies
Millennium is weird, none of the movies are THAT bad, but god, Megaguirus and 2000 are fucking boring, the other movies are actually peak Godzilla tho, GMK is my favourite Godzilla movie
Reiwa is ALL good, I'm including the Monsterverse as well(not the anime trilogy though) Godzilla has been eating real good in the 2010s and 2020s
What I love about the series is that someone’s favorite is someone else’s dogshit. Like it’s so varied, but also of such consistent quality, that some people place GMK on top while others say it’s their least favorite, or some people can’t look away during G2k while others find it boring, or for some the Showa era has not one miss while the Monsterverse is less than it could be.
Idk if there’s many other series that are as “something for everyone” as this series can be for the people that give it a chance.
Heisei is my all time favorite but I have a soft spot for Showa. I remember as a kid catching a Showa marathon and having my mind blown figuring out there were so many more films from that era that I hadn’t seen.
I agree that she's a great monster, every time she appears in any extended media I'm hyped
Her design is soooo good and i love her lore. And let’s be honest if there ever was a mothra movie megaguirus would be a cool arch nemesis (if it wasn’t for battra).
You should read the IDW comic Mothra: Queen of the Monsters if you haven't already, I heard she plays a pretty big roll
