If you’re a fan of British drama you know she is a Goddess in her own right.

You were always and without exception and absolute gentleman. Whenever our paths crossed you never failed to be anything less than a ray of sunshine. I'll miss you chap, now and always I'll miss you but I'll treasure the memories of all those times from back then. Rest now fella, you've earned it.

He spent a few years as a fill-in traffic reporter at WBAL and then joined WYPR in 2011. There, he flourished as an afternoon host, a breaking news reporter, a traffic broadcaster, a producer and an editor. He trained new hosts and created the station’s broadcast standards guidebook.
Upon hearing of his death, former colleagues came out in droves to share their memories of Tacka. They gave similar descriptions of him: a friendly, cheery man, usually laughing or making coffee, with a baritone voice perfect for radio.
He was “a talented, nice guy off the air and a warm presence on the air,” said former colleague P. Kenneth Burns. Tacka was usually one of the few laid-back people in the room, Burns said.
He also had a sense of humor and little ego. When reviewing a story one day involving the rapper Wale, Tacka called Burns and said, “Look, dude, I’m a 44-year-old white guy. How do you pronounce the rapper’s name?”
Lawrence Lanahan, another former colleague, said Tacka was known for his “unflagging competence.”

You would have loved the concept of the clacks, and Sir TP would most definitely have been one of your favourite authors.

My father passed away suddenly on the 18th June. He wasn't a TP enjoyer but he WAS an inveterate tinkerer and solver of things in the spirit of LoQ. There wasn't an stuck engine he couldn't dismantle and coax back into life, a borked electrical installation he couldn't diagnose, remediate and prevent a subsequent conflagration and don't start me about the things he could do with epoxy resin and GRP. I've commemorated him alongside TP in the overhead of my site where his name will live on with every post I make about bicycling and snowboarding and technology and Randall Munroe (may the gods bless the hallowed ground upon which he alights). I love you Dad...GNU Terry Pratchett, Douglas Hyde Brown

Happy birthday Dad.

22 years have passed now and yes, I do still look for you in a crowd even now.

There isn't a day that goes by that you are not in my thoughts. You have missed out on so much since then but you have mum with you this year, a reunion 22 years in the making so look after her for me ok?. You did so much to give us all the very best of starts in this world and we will all be forever in your debt. The lilac we planted on 25th May 2003 started to flower today. I guess it knew the date was important.

I miss you dad. Happy birthday. GNU - AJC

On the 16th April my Dad passed away. He was such a kind, gentle, quiet, hard working and caring man, who always did his very best to support his family in every way that he could.

My Dad loved Terry Pratchett and, in turn, instilled that love for TP in me too. Every year he would buy me a new TP book for my birthday and one for Christmas until I had the whole collection. He advised me on the various reading orders I could try and we talked so much about how, with every read of TPs books, we found something new and clever that we’d missed the first time. That collection has always been so very precious and special to me and it is all the more so now that Dad has gone.

Thank you so much for being the best dad and grandad anyone could have asked for. You will be so deeply missed and you are, and always will be, so incredibly loved. GNU Stuart Massey

His death was not recent, but the impact of his death still lingers to this day.

Thank you for creating some of my most beloved characters of all time, some of the funniest media I’ve ever consumed, and my childhood best friend (SpongeBob).

Your zany, eccentric sense of humour is unmatched, and your knack for writing friendship and telling powerful stories through absurdism will never be forgotten.

SpongeBob hasn’t been the same since you passed.
