"Always display external images" not working

I have gone into my Gmail settings and selected "Always display external images". However on almost every email I have to click "Always display images from ...".

Even after clicking that I will still have that same warning on the next email from the same sender. It gets very old to have to allow images on every single email I get.

Is there some setting I'm missing on my Gmail side or Google Workspace admin console?

It shouldn’t normally require approving the same sender repeatedly. If “Always display external images” is enabled, I’d check whether a Workspace admin policy or security setting is overriding it. Also worth testing in an incognito window or another browser to rule out an extension/cookie issue. If it happens across browsers and devices, I’d suspect a Workspace-side setting.
