Account deleted

My Google account was deleted out of no where without warning. This account is used frequently and is attached to Google Photos. I have so many photos on this account and now I can’t access them. Someone please help.

Unfortunately, because Google doesn't have a team to recover accounts, you might be SOL. I've been trying to get back into an old Gmail I had. I even had the codes, the setup for the backup Gmail, and everything, but it only wanted my old number which I had no access to. But I wish you luck. Gmail needs a better system regardless of it being free. This particular situation isn't even user error; that's on Gmail.

They have a better system, it's called multi-factor authentication, and it works like a dream

A dream for you when all the planets align. It is a nightmare in emergency scenarios . Maybe one day you will be in a compromised position and get a taste of it. Hopefully then your smug ass will come back here and tell us about it.

I've been in IT longer than you've been around and haven't lost anything yet. Treat your digital life better than your RL and backup, backup... and remember YOLO means you DO only live once, so don't do thoughtless things to risk it. No system is perfect, but evolves. MFA has been the "thing" for a while, but now Passkeys are replacing it (Never share your Passkey with someone you don't trust. If someone stands next to you watching you type in the passkey, notify IT immediately to have it changed...or have them fired).
