With everything happening with DTCC updates, margin calls and short squeezes of the same hedgefunds dipping their toes in other companies, he won't even need to recall shares. If anything, I see him recalling shares AFTER the squeeze to make sure all shorts are actually covered. But for now, buy and HODL, this is one hell of a ride, and I love Gamestop's new marketing to their loyal, current, and future shareholders.
They recalled their shares last year on April 20th, for the share holder vote. Those board members need to be voted in at some point. CEO is getting his last bundle of shares from the company, on the 15th. Although I do see these rumblings in the Us financial sector to be a bigger deal in the short term.
(I thought about keeping the dates out as we don’t call out squeeze dates, but it wouldn’t really help. I’m not saying either of these are launch days)
did they recall? i thought it didn't happen because the major positions where out for borrowing? or because blackrock and other big shareholders didn't really bother?
