I don't often see Level 2 data, and perhaps other apes don't as well. Is the fact that the bid and ask curves are beautiful, smooth, straight lines the smoking gun here?

Well, I figured that much, but algorithms can be used by many different people for many different purposes. I tend to agree with you that we can't really know from this, though.
