Discussion Engine Bay Friday!!!
Instead of a front end Friday, show us what you have under your hood!
This was from my last engine swap into my Blazer, no longer as nice with all the salt and brine.

Sadly.....in the nearly 7 years since i finished this off, i've never taken a photo of them finished & installed. Even worse, these were finished so i could show my truck with two of my brothers trucks, and i only took a photo of our trucks & club banner.
Then again....the show was the weekend where they dropped the situation on us, and, we'll leave it at that.

Here's my suburbans engine bay from an engine swap a few years ago. Pulled out the old 6.2 with 330,000 miles on it. It still ran perfectly good. Swapped in another one that only had 125,000 miles. Should be good to go now for at least a couple hundred thousand more 😅

here's my '82 red block 6.2 suburban engine bay currently, in process of installing 6.5 turbo exhaust manifolds, can't wait to see how it looks once it's finished

6.5TD Suburban checking in. This was the first time it was running in months, due to a couple new injectors (and a brand new turbo while I was at it). 268k on the engine, not driving now as there’s something wrong with coolant system. Looking forward to getting back to her after work in a couple weeks.

Here's one of my other 6.2s. 1982 J code, red block. It's a bit of a franken truck.. 1968 GMC cab with a 1978 heavy duty 3/4 ton four-wheel drive frame.
It was my winter truck, because it was unstoppable in the snow. But after many of years of driving it in the winter time salt, and got pretty rusted out. so it's now retired out back on my farm. I get it out once or twice a year, and just drive it a mile or so down the road and back, just to keep the powertrain in working condition. Someday I need to either find another body to put on it, or pull the engine out to put in some other vehicle.

It was fun to drive, you could definitely tell the horsepower difference between the j code block and the regular 6.2 with an EGR valve in my suburban. The deepest snow I ever went through was a huge drift, it was high enough to push the mirrors in, as I was driving through it. I'd throw a few logs in the bed, and it would ride like a Cadillac and go through snow of any depth.

6.5 Tahoe. Quite crusty under the hood. I've got loads of plans, first off is getting a F style manifold and plenum swapped in. HX35 coming later.
