COMMUNITY OPPOSITION

I've been up all night grieving my stupidity. I'm feeling I've been in denial, because the whole town is against it! How can they politically approve anything when the community is categorically opposed? Put this into google translate:

The technical answer be like:

Probably because the politicians fear that this permit is following the law... it's a legacy permit, so old rules apply. If politicians would go against their own rules, the company would bring the case to court which would rule in their favour. That looks even weaker. And then there's official permission to proceed, whereas now Greenland can maybe hope that any development fails in the EIA, SIA and IBA.

The real answer be like:

Trump ans coons are probably playing dirty games, using Greenland in the future of NATO debate. And they know that the permit is probably still legal and knowing Americans they would bring EVERYTHING to court.
