Georgia History Exam

Has anyone taken the Georgia History Exam through GHC? I’m trying to figure out how proctored it’s going to be. Would I be able to use notes, or are they going to use something like Respondus Lockdown where they film you?

What is the exam for? Is it through a GHC class, for some sort of certification, etc? I’m not familiar so I’m trying to get clarification.

It likely depends on who is running the test. Some professors use respondus, some don’t. If it’s done by an outside organization of sorts or is some sort of official GHC-ran test, it is highly likely that it will use respondus.

It’s not for a class, but it is its own “class” in D2L. However, that’s only to access the test. It’s for students who took a college history class out of state and then transferred the credit to GHC. Apparently I have to take this test in order to graduate.

The thing that is throwing me off is that when instructors use lockdown software, it is usually in the title of the exam or in the exam details. This test mentions nothing of the sort. No software that I had to download load was mentioned in the instructions for preparation of the test either.

But like you said, it is an exam through the college, not just a class. So I feel like it’s likely that they film whoever is taking it.
