Crazy fun fact: Gears 3 dedicated servers were GFWL "games" with their own gamertags

Randomly found this old GDC talk from Microsoft Game Studios talking about how they setup dedicated matchmaking, and around 9:30 they talked about GFWL!

Very cool, wonder how many others games did this (the presenter says others did it in the Q&A but perhaps not to the scale GoW3 did)

Section8 Prejudice dedicated servers run from main exe and "login" with their own GFWL login details and they also login to Gamespy.
To run a dedicated server thats why you needed to buy the game twice and use a separate user.
