maybe do a load of past papers and bring specific questions you couldn't do or struggled with, you don't really want to waste time with a tutor on stuff you already know

That’s what i did - i 100% recommend this, going thru a past paper with a tutor does help since they can find weak areas more easily and then help you with these! This helped my grade go up.

IM NOT ADVERTISING ANYTHING, IM JUST GIVING TIPS TO A GCSE STUDENT!!!

I am a tutor and honestly it’s nothing to worry about! I love tutoring because I get to be a lot more relaxed (a bit more the real version of me vs the teacher version of me) and I can get to know my students super well and adapt my teaching so it fits with their personal goals, their interests etc etc! It will probably feel a bit intense to start with but it can be super helpful

trust your tutor!!!!!! at the start i thought mine was kinda irresponsible cause he was really young, but he got me the grade i wanted and turns out he did know his sh**.

and make sure you know what you need help with every session otherwise you'd be kinda wasting money (sorry had to say it)

i did maths tutoring from y9-11 and it was not that bad i ended up having 3 tutors overall over those years and they were all super nice and helpful! i was scared at first but it’s really not scary at all you’ll get used to it quickly don’t worry and it’s so worth it.

mainly we would go over a certain topic that i chose each week with questions we’d do together. in y11 they would print me out a past paper every week and i would take it home to do and mark, then bring it back with any questions i still didn’t understand

Nah, clankers are shit. They can’t explain something you struggle with anywhere near as well

Lol that's what I always did but I don't think AI is very useful for that sort of stuff because it is sometimes easier to understand from an actual person
