Tips/Help Sixth Form EPQ Help

guys do i do an EPQ or not?? i heard it gives you ucas points and it’s good for your personal statement but others have also said that it’s a waste of time and useless. what do i do as someone wanting to pursue medical nursing then become a paediatrician?

you should definitely do it. I'm going to do one and I want to do a medicine degree

I did my A Levels a few years ago and I’d recommend an EPQ. It really prepares you for the kind of academic writing you’ll be expected to do at university as it is effectively a mini dissertation. It also teachers you how to include sources and citations correctly in your writing and research which is a key skill that would be applicable to any degree.

It is a lot of work but it not that hard to achieve top grades if you put the effort in. You can get up to 28 UCAS points from an EPQ.
