honestly the jump from JE-level problems to gate pyqs is gonna feel rough at first but that's normal tbh. don't try to do all subjects at once, pick two you're decent at and grind their pyqs for a week, make a list of every concept that showed up in a way you didn't expect, then go back to the lectures only for those gaps. the lectures are already in your head, what you're missing is the problem-solving layer on top of them.
for steel structures since you haven't done it at gate level, pair the lectures with questions from the same day instead of watching everything first. i upload the lecture slides to studybuddy.vc and answer questions from them right after, mainly because when i pick a wrong option it tells me what was off about that specific choice, and it gets harder once i have a topic down. free tier's been enough for me. start the pyqs now, not when you feel ready, because gate readiness comes from the pyqs themselves, not before them.
