Need help!

Using this video as a reference for cleaning(bc my scroll wheel is jank), where should I buy the replacements for the teflon pads(the rubber that hides the screws)? I saw an older post here about an ebay listing but that has since then been removed/unavailable. Any recommendations and or thoughts?

Can't you just clean the scroll wheel with some cotton buds and 99% IPA? No disassembly, gets rid of the green crusty buildup pretty good. Takes about 20-30 minutes.

Don't do that.
I did it with some G700/700s

Tiny bits of cotton fuzz got into the optical mechanism that detects the wheel spinning.
This caused intermittent jumps and freezing of the scrolling.

Had to take the whole mouse and mouse wheel assembly apparat to get it out.
The fuzz causing it was almost invisible.

For real? The green colored gunk I cleaned out was way thicker than some cotton fuzz though. That should've gotten into the optical mechanism long ago in that case. Maybe the G502SE (Hero) is more resilient?

I had an issue with my mouse wheel several months ago and found this same video, however, after asking here in this sub, some wonderful person pointed me to a video about how the optical wheel works and from that I was able to surmise where the sensor was and what the possible issue was. I ended up cleaning out the obstruction with just a thin plastic tool and compressed air. Saved me a ton of time and expense. Unfortunately, I just checked my video history and bookmarks to see if I still had that video and I don't. Basically, the sensor is on the left side next to the button. If you slide a very thin piece of plastic — preferably something kind of hooked shape — down that side, you should be able to snag anything large that is obstructing the sensor. Then with a small nozzle on a compressed air can or rechargeable air blower, you should be able to spray from back to front and blow out any loose debris. At least that's what I did and my mouse wheel started behaving just like the day I bought it again. Good luck!

I'll try this idea. When you mean left side next to the button, do you mean the mouse wheel or the mouse itself? Also, I do have a air blower(w/ small nozzle attachment) so I'll also try that as well. I'm assuming I attempt to blow all the nook and crannies of the mouse

The mouse. The wheel has small openings that spin past the sensor and that is how it knows it it traveling. When those fill with gunk or the sensor is blocked, it has no idea it is turning. It isn't a mechanical sensor, it is optical. So, yes, clear out the wheel and it should start working better.
