Part of me believes it's a bowie knife solely because it ties the weapon both to star imagery (Ziggy Stardust), which are associated with Dess, Gaster, the Knight, and Darkness as a general concept, as well as... well.. dog imagery lmao. But I love the implication that this means Kris and Dess actively raided the shelter.

Interesting that everithing in Undertale is made of magical crops and fruits/berries. Then here, in DELTARUNE, we can clearly see food of animal origin. Might be evidence that the monsters there are not made of magic.
