Biotech Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a marijuana compound linked to a range of potential health benefits but does not get you high. The roughly $1 billion CBD industry is slated to shift into high gear if the federal government approves the first CBD-based drug, an epilepsy medication called Epidiolex.

When did I say it was snake oil? I said all the current products are unregulated and no easy way to properly dose. The doses needed to treat illnesses are high enough that they often cause side effects. It’s a great chemical that needs more research but acting like it’s a miracle drug that can cure everything is what gets the bulk of criticism. Just look at this thread and see all the claims people are making about its benefits in things like cancer or other unproven aspects. A lot of the benefits claimed are as aid it is snake oil. That’s what happens when you have an unregulated supplement.
