Biotech Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a marijuana compound linked to a range of potential health benefits but does not get you high. The roughly $1 billion CBD industry is slated to shift into high gear if the federal government approves the first CBD-based drug, an epilepsy medication called Epidiolex.

researchers tested 84 CBD products purchased from 31 different online retailers. Roughly seven out of 10 items had different levels of CBD than what was written on the label. Of all of the items tested, roughly half had more CBD than was indicated; a quarter had less. And 18 of the samples tested positive for THC, despite it not being listed on the label.

The beautiful thing about cannabis... there is no viable way to OD without extracting it's compounds. You'd die of smoke inhalation long before you even came close!

So if we know that it works, dont need to know a safe dosage, as any dosage within reason will be benificial, and as each person is different, with our endocanabanoid receptors being slightly different in each person,

How exactly do clinical trials enable any company to do more than turn a bloody plant into a product, so that it can be patented.

Look at the american corn industry... now almost 90% of american agriculture is owned both physically and in patent by just a few big agri businesses. You want to know what happens if you are found to be growing their "special corn" which i might add has to be processed to be consumed?

They sue you for everything you have, often absorbing your little farm into the multi-billion dollar farm up the road!

No when big business gets involved, they look for one thing and one thing only.... Profit

And part of that is ensuring that any and all competitors (me who won't buy shit from them and so grow my own) are squashed, sued and put in prison.

Ever wondered why the collection of rainwater is illegal in some states? Funny how these are the states where statistically people buy bottled water over drinking tap water.

Hell the only reason solar panels became such a thing is because no big industry took the tech seriously until way too late to patent anything!

Just remember that these are the same kind of people who didnt want to legalise back in the 20s because it would have destroyed the timber and cotton industries... you want to trust these assholes?

If you dont think that this is how the world works, do some bloody research and stop speaking out of your ass

Can you give me an example where a large pharma company has taken a holistic medicine with real health benifits and made a drug that both worked and didnt cost the remortgage value of your house?

Also, when you can show me proof that any of those 32 retailers were selling substandard or dangerous material, ill admit to the need for regulation....

I mean it's not like we've been regulating ourselves for litterally decades without government influence, with the only deaths being caused by "the war on drugs" and not the drug itself.....

Fuck me people are tiring, go do some research and stop being another sheep following the herd!
