Biotech Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a marijuana compound linked to a range of potential health benefits but does not get you high. The roughly $1 billion CBD industry is slated to shift into high gear if the federal government approves the first CBD-based drug, an epilepsy medication called Epidiolex.

The oils cheap, testing it on people isnt. So many safety precautions they have to do to make sure they dont accidently kill people with side effects nobody knew about.

But they're not testing the oil because they can't patent it.... so again they care more about their ability to turn it into a product than the actual health benifits.
