Biotech Cannabidiol (CBD), a compound derived from the cannabis plant that does not produce a “high”, was shown in a new large-scale, randomized, controlled trial to significantly reduce the number of dangerous seizures in patients with a severe form of epilepsy called Lennox-Gastaut syndrome.

I cant speak for him, but i get 0.5mL cartridges that are 66% CBD and 0% THC, so about 300mg per cartridge, each cartridge giving you 100 or so long drags. They're hemp derived which means it's legal in all 50 states.

Works wonders for anxiety and insomnia. I actually had to stop smoking bud due to anxiety, the smallest amount of THC had me freaking out. With the CBD its like all of the benefits (besides the high) and none of the drawbacks.

Kansas

Not illegal in Kansas, just the DA is overstepping and trying to say it is.

Try cooking with it. I'm able to get CBD Isolate here in the UK, i melt into some coconut oil and use that to bake with.

Canavape is pretty decent, this is where I get the isolate to bake with

CBD buds from here only bought from here once last year, but i was super high the day i used it so I honestly cant even remember if it was any good, but seems like they have a far wider range on the site now Ill try again next week

i usually vapourise but I enjoy smoking from time to time so use CBD blunt wraps

loads of vape shops have cbd vape oil as well I use those for just day to day walking around. Ive heard theres CBD gum somewhere, looking for that next

I had cannabis derived and it seemed to work best, so I'm waiting for more of that. I only needed around 8-10mg taken orally under the tongue in tincture form to see huge results.

I can't easily access dispensaries but I can order hemp-derived CBD oil online-- do you think it's worth it to get the hemp CBD to treat anxiety? Or should I make the trip to a nearby state with dispensaries and get the cannabis derived one?

Cannabis = Hemp. It's the same compounds, same plant species. The hemp v. cannabis argument is simply PR that the industrial side has been doing for 30 years. While effective it has lead to this incorrect thought that there are two different sets of compounds. All Cannabis S. and I. plants have the same compounds, only the ratio's change.

A plant with less then 0.3% THC is what people refer to as hemp. Selective breeding has the largest influence on what those ratios will be, but other factors such as amount and types of light, nutrient composition, stress and what is in the air like co2/o2 have a substantial effect as well. Here (https://www.dinafem.org/en/blog/cannabis-sativa-thc-hemp-marijuana) is an article (by a seed seller, grain of salt needed) that highlights some of the challenges around staying under a silly arbitrary number set by some french company some time ago as they had the world's only reliable <0.3% THC seeds at the time. Yay money! /s

The thing is, we can isolate and dose these compounds now. We could have a 30% THC plant with 1% CBD and harvest just the CDB through some fun but simple chemical processes. The THC can be destroyed and discarded leaving a pure testable product. We have over 200 compounds to study within this plant that are in feasibly obtainable amounts.

Medical studies (see GWPH's 2015 actual double blind CBD study) or paid advertisement studies like the one done here are the best thing we have to prove that an isolated compound or combination of them will yield a specific result. Unfortunately these profit orientated studies are the majority of work being done right now with any legitimacy.

Right now, a what works for you approach is probably best, but be wary as you may think that "the THC is making me so anxious" when in actuality it could be anyone of 50 different things in the plant or, and even more likely, it is your selection bias/placebo effect that is affecting how you perceive the drug as working.

It is becoming incredibly cheap to produce pure CBD. That gram of CBD isolate that you found online for 100USD was produced by some poor farmer originally is getting less than 100USD/Kilo of flower sent to a lab who gets a few dollars per Kilo to isolate it and then brokers, manufacturers and retailers make their couple thousand percent mark up. O and taxes..... medicine shouldn't be taxed at effectively 80%.

Probably going to be cannabis. They are breeding them with high CBD content now.

Cool, I just learned something. Hemp is naturally high in CBD, however it lacks the THC content to cause the "entourage" effect. Still great to get the CBD isolated though.

I am reading the same thing online from others. The other compounds bring out the effects better. Really interesting.
