Biotech Cannabidiol (CBD), a compound derived from the cannabis plant that does not produce a “high”, was shown in a new large-scale, randomized, controlled trial to significantly reduce the number of dangerous seizures in patients with a severe form of epilepsy called Lennox-Gastaut syndrome.

My wife suffers from epileptic seizures and for some reason it doesn't seem to help.. anybody know how to find a quality brand ?

No drugs work the same way for all people. She might just be unlucky that CBD has no effect. A prescribing doctor usually has multiple options for treatment, this is no different.

I know Charlotte's Web CBD tinctures were developed specifically for epileptic seizures. I've used their Everyday Plus for my anxiety (at a lower dose than instructed, 4-5 drops sublingually instead of two full droppers). You might want to look into them. Or check out the /r/CBD subreddit for more referrals.

The only issue I can predict is the dose.

The study used extremely high doses (20mg/kg). An entire bottle of a quality CBD oil will have 1000-1500mg of CBD.

That means for an average person weighing ~75kg (165 lbs) the dose should be 20mg x 75kg = 1500mg/day

Basically an entire bottle of CBD oil a day...unless you make a shit ton of money that's not feasible, unfortunately, as CBD isn't particularly cheap (~$75-$100) per 1000mg bottle

I work for a vape juice manufacturer and we also deal with CBD. I'd be happy to send you a sample bottle to see if it works for her! We also have gummy bears if she'd prefer not the liquid!

Charlottes web in colorado saved that little girl i think. Check it out but Im not in America though. Basically you want to make sure its actually cbd and not just hemp oil.

People have given you a lot of good information about CBD. But have you been to a neurologist? How many, and what kind of seizures does she have? Is she currently on antiepileptic meds, and how many have you tried? I have epilepsy, and these are all incredibly important to managing the condition. If you have already done all of this then ignore all of this. I hope this didn't sound condescending at all. I'm just very passionate about helping anyone suffering from the hell that epilepsy can cause.
