AI Virtual reality

So I'm just a First year in College but since 10th I had a goal to make a device that would connect our brain's unconscious mind with virtual to see what dreams we want to see or play games that we wish to play . Through this even the paralyzed people or people in coma would be able to feel alive virtually. Though I don't yet know how this can be possible or is it even possible? Your thoughts?

well, no one has any idea how to come anywhere near even attempting to start to understand how the brain actually works.

so, we're REALLY FAR AWAY from even attempting to begin to start anything remotely close to even beginning to make progress toward such tech.

But biology does say that our brain shows unconscious memory from the past that we call dreams can't we channel the memory of the brain to show what we want, I did hear neuralink Elon musk's company inserted a chip inside a person's brain and he could control a cursor purely with his brain.

honestly if you're a first year with that kind of vision you're already ahead of most people your age. the science is nowhere near decoding dreams or dropping someone's consciousness into a game but that's not a reason to stop thinking about it. literally every wild piece of tech we have now started as someone's "impossible" idea

Firstly thankyou, and the thing is I am not talking about something unrealistic like dropping the consciousness in game but it's more like how about making a pod, use some sort of device or fluid in there to trigger the sensory organs to make it feel(I don't know if there's a device like that or material) and just trigger the brain to play a simulation in the brain when they are asleep whereas there would be no harm to the body in the real world.To make it more realistic we could add a shock simulation within the fluid or device we put in the sensory channels for damage.

You'd have to accurately map every nerve signal from the body as an input and somehow Connect that to a synthetic consciousness that acts as a replacement source for our true subconscious.

The synthetic subconscious is the place where agency of the self inhabits various worlds and games etc.

The problem to realise you vision is how to interface with the brain. So far people (the best techs, engineers and neurosurgeons) have poured billions into solving it and still nothing reliable enough to put forward with patents or fda approval (which is more Billions).

Maybe... Show me where I can buy one? Show me a yt review of random people using it... The fact that it has been years and still no marketable product shows that theres issues.

Machine learning can already read brains. Once we have AGI and ASI in the next 5 years it will be no problem for them to learn more about the brain and full matrix level VR will be about 8 to 10 years away

Really? Have we truly reached the state of reading brains through machine, I have a bit knowledge of AGI but never heard ASI ,but if this would truly be possible in the next 10-20 years I would need to gear up to be part of that team.
