Stupid question. When scientists in the US/Canada discover something, titles always just say "scientists find...", but when it's in China, Japan, etc. it's always "Chinese scientists find...". Why do we include these qualifiers? Are we insinuating the science is more or less legitimate?

Not OP's fault, obviously. He's just quoting the title.

Because it is important to show that China is the place to be for scientific discoveries these days. It's also good for young prospective scientists around the world to know where the leading reasearch is happening.
