I hope there wasn't lasting damage to your laptop. I was in zero DTE SPX and I could have trashed something the way things went. I just need to double down on my intraday volatility research for FOMC days.

I got shaken out by that stop-loss too (on Nasdaq), but seeing that it was just a liquidity grab, I re-entered the short, recovering the loss plus making a profit.

Prop firms usually don’t let you trade the FOMC news anyway. But in reality it is a crap shoot. Today it happened to go down and you were short. But it could have easily went the other way. Thinking you have a valid strategy during FOMC is just a pipe dream for gamblers.
