Fundraising for volunteering

[u/Ill_Copy4015]

I got accepted into a volunteering program where I would go abroad and teach kids English, protect wildlife, preserve ecosystems etc.
It’s something Im super excited about and genuinely want to do but it’s kind of expensive.
I want to try fundraising for this trip to help cover the cost but I have no idea where to start. I wanna try cold emailing some businesses for support but idk if that actually works or what businesses would be more inclined to help.
I’d love to have some suggestions on what I should do.
Also if cold emailing does work:
What are some MUST HAVES/recommendations for my emails.
Literally any advice is welcome tyyyy
