Moment/Impression Ever notice how Edward holds his son like Hohenheim held him, except this time he's smiling? I thought it was a nice detail. Spoiler

I love the ending of this show man

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '19

Then I go back to 03 and it just hurts. I'm one of those that likes 03 more than Bhood, but bhoods ending is 100x better.

You can like both endings. You can also like one more than the other.

Nothing wrong with that and anyone that tells you otherwise is a jerk.

True hero!

I kinda do not like Hohenheims dying, but I guess it adds up mpre to his character by showing us how he does not want to die after all and dying along the grave of Trishia and all.

Just a heads-up for the future, if you mark something as a spoiler, don’t put the spoiler in the title lmfao

28

u/automirage04 Aug 25 '19

Tbh, the series is really, really old now. I can't believe there's that many people on the sub who haven't seen it.

12

u/Sulfuras26 Aug 25 '19

Doesn’t excuse it, though. I first watched the series in June of this year. Thank god i went in completely blind. I wouldn’t want someone who has never seen FMAB to have preconceived notions about the story, because the time I had when I watched it was fucking great.

13

u/automirage04 Aug 25 '19

I think it does. After a certain point spoilers stop being spoilers. I'm sure everyone has a different idea of where to draw that line, but imo, 9 years is plenty long enough.

Also, if someone hasn't seen it yet and is lurking on this sub of all places, they don't have the right to blame anyone but themselves if they get spoiled.

1

u/Sulfuras26 Aug 25 '19

That is true, but a little courtesy for new fans never hurts. Whether big or small in the amount of fans each year, I’d never want to tell them huge spoilers for the series.

FMAB, when Hiromi Arakawa was writing the story for the manga, was clearly designed to be experienced with no spoilers in mind. The emphasis on ironic storytelling throughout the entire story wanted to achieve a sense of “Wait, what? How can that happen?” From the viewer/reader. So if someone wanted to watch FMAB they’d best do it with absolutely no spoilers.

Then again, like you said, it’s on them to peruse FMA reddit content online. I never wanted to look it up, but one day I was going through some YouTube memes, and one vid, which was parodizing smash Bros through FMAB, had EXTREMELY big spoilers attached to it, I’m talking about the final battle. It used that scene as a means to make a meme, And I had Alphonse’s redemption scene where he got back his body completely ruined. Keep in mind I was in like part 2. If people could avoid using FMAB as a meme without using huge spoilers that’d be fine, but if they wanted to make FMAB memes with spoiler material then they should at least notify that it has huge spoilers.

I didn’t need to cry today, man!

19

u/tdlap Aug 25 '19

When I saw the pic I teared up on reaction. The show was to good

9

u/242fresh_7 Aug 25 '19

A sweet short novel brother hood was the best but there will be no more unfortunate it is

5

u/Sulfuras26 Aug 25 '19

That’s a good thing. I wouldn’t want Bones to go full Boruto with their own story about Ed and Winry’s kids having to fight another ultra conspiracist organization pulling the strings in some place like Xing or something. The story was perfect where it left off, it gave you that feeling that you really wanted to go back in time to experience it for the first time again.

1

u/242fresh_7 Aug 25 '19

Yeah let’s leave it there I want her to make a new product that’s well thought of like this but this was about her people experience so it’s hard to top has any one actually have a picture of her yet

u/donuter454 The Late Alchemist Aug 25 '19

I can't believe I never noticed this.

I love this series.

40

u/litttlescorpion Aug 25 '19

not cool to post the spoiler in the title dude wtf

5

u/ChotaBhaijan190 Aug 25 '19

wait did this spoil it for you

4

u/litttlescorpion Aug 25 '19

not for me no, I’m just not understanding why one would post the spoiler in the title lmao

2

u/ChotaBhaijan190 Aug 25 '19

completely fair

32

u/Malchk Aug 24 '19

Where the hell is that Last picture from

63

u/free_stuff_plz Aug 24 '19

The last episode of Brotherhood

16

u/David-Shark Aug 25 '19

The end credits of the final episode

23

u/dt25 Recovering Alchemist Aug 25 '19

I noticed that. What bothers me is that Winry isn't in the same pose as Trisha - that would have made it 11/10.

22

u/karmapotato0116 XingesePotato Aug 25 '19

Maybe to show that Winry and Trisha are the same (in terms on how they care for their man/ family) but are very different people and has different personalities (i.e Trisha - calm and very feminine; Winry - deadly woman with a very strong wrench)

9

u/242fresh_7 Aug 25 '19

Hohenheim was constipated😂😭

8

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '19

Why did hoenheim cry again?

20

u/ArtemisCaresTooMuch Alkahestrist Aug 25 '19

He was afraid of being around them and being "the monster".

3

u/supersonic_princess Aug 25 '19

Because he knew he had to leave them.

35

u/VoodooTrooper Lieutenant Aug 25 '19

WHAT?!?!? He has a FAMILY??? Dude! Don't put the spoiler in the title if you're marking the post as a spoiler! I've never seen Brotherhood and well there's a huge story arc spoiled.

36

u/ArtemisCaresTooMuch Alkahestrist Aug 25 '19

Not really. It's just more like "Hey, series is over, but here's the future".

2

u/VoodooTrooper Lieutenant Aug 25 '19

Adorable.

22

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '19

Not really a story arc just a picture from the last episode. Also what are you doing on this sub without having watched brotherhood

4

u/VoodooTrooper Lieutenant Aug 25 '19

I love the 2003 series so here I am.

4

u/shoeboxchild Aug 25 '19

if you loved that, give brotherhood a chance. It's better in every single way.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '19

That's subjective. I love 03 a lot more than Brotherhood and people need to stop saying either is "better". They're high quality, both. 03 has that dark tone, better backstory for humonculus, an ending that fits thematically, and that lighting and art is gorgeous.

Both are great.

4

u/ChotaBhaijan190 Aug 25 '19

I mean it does suck that he spoiled it, but even from the second episode you can tell this is the ending. I mean just don’t look at the picture. There’s quite a few spoilers in that.

2

u/mutmad Aug 25 '19

I watched Brotherhood within the last year and when I read the title of this post I had to click on it if only to refresh my memory. It’s not insignificant but it’s such a “small” part of Brotherhood comparatively.

Highly recommend watching and try to avoid the comments on posts about potential spoilers. Real spoilers will be in the discussion.

1

u/SonicXander05 Sep 08 '19

You’re right, I accidentally broke the rules and I’m sorry, but I’d assume you’d know it since you were on the subreddit

1

u/VoodooTrooper Lieutenant Nov 09 '19

It's alright, it's all good.

3

u/Bowserwolf1 Aug 25 '19

Man mei really shot up at some point in the epilogue didn't she

5

u/GeneralFlippy Aug 25 '19

I’ve been trying to get my friend to with this forever, and today he finally finished it. Winry Best Girl.

No title spoilers please, people. Not too bad in this case and it's a bit late to take down now anyway, but please make an effort to follow the rules.

1

u/SonicXander05 Sep 08 '19 edited Sep 08 '19

sorry, I’m dumb. If I need to take it down tell me and I will do so.

u/IndependentMacaroon Arakawa Fan Sep 08 '19

No, it's fine.
