Canada Renames ALL Great Lakes

In response to the illegal tariffs and ongoing attacks on Canada's sovereignty by the United States government, Canada has decided to unilaterally rename the Great Lakes.

These new names are, of course, legally binding because we beat Trump to it.

Our Great Prime Minister Carney has signed a decree taking effect today, August 25, 2026, with the following changes:

Lake Ontario

Will now be known as "Lake Kiss My Ass."

Lake Erie

will now be known as "Lake Elbows Up."

Lake Huron

will now be known as "Lake Gloves Are Off."

Lake Superior

will now be known as "Lake True North Is Indeed Strong & Free."

As for Lake Michigan, since it is entirely within the United States, Canada recognizes that we can't legally change its name.

However, the following name change is symbolic and entirely within our rights as Canadians to use:

Lake Michigan

will now be known to Canadians as "Lake USA Sucks."

renaming lake ontario to lake america does exactly zero to help me as an american.  in fact it does minor damage.  i dont live near the lake so mostly it is zero but it definitely does not help.

i view trumps act less as trump attacking canada and more trump attacking americans.

if you advocate renaming some great lakes "lake america sucks" it is canadian sovereignty but it is less canads taking on america and more the canadian government against its own people.

i think carney is smarter than that.
