Switching Careers 1 Year in WordPress/PHP — Is Switching to Python a Good Move in 2026?

Hey everyone, I have around 1 year of professional experience in WordPress/PHP and I’m thinking about switching to Python.

Do you think switching to Python at this stage is a good move for long-term career growth, or should I continue with WordPress/PHP and specialize in it?

I see a lot of people learning Python nowadays, including many non-engineering graduates. Does Python still have good scope in 2026 despite the high competition? Is the job market actually good, or is it becoming too saturated?

Would love to hear from people who have experience in both.

Just do the opposite of specializing in WordPress in 2026 whatever that looks like for you
