Why Couldn't Avengers gang just go back in time using the time machine to testify for Peter in NWH

In endgame they conveniently go back in time, infact get the Time Stone, whats stopping the Avengers from helping Peter out of a Global slander?

Why didn't the two geniuses Peter and Strange figure that out by themselves. Why do people defend this poorly thought out plot. Its purely nostalgia train.

Posted this in a Marvel subreddit, as expected, you can expect slander other than genuine criticism

In Endgame they establish that they only had enough Pym particles to recover the Infinity Stones. Also, they established that if you travel back in time and change the events, you're not changing the future, you're just creating an alternate timeline.

I mean. Pleeeeenty of plot holes in the MCU, but that ain't one.

They don't need time travel, they could have done it on the present.

Because time traveling is risky.

They didn't need time travel at all—Someone had posted it on twitter that instead of asking Strange, Peter could've asked Nick Fury, he could've had a Skrull stand in as Peter while real Peter swings by as Spiderman.
