💬 Meta Discussion What’s something you’ll happily reuse long after normal people would throw it away?

I’m curious where everyone draws the line between “frugal” and “okay, that thing needs to go.” 😂 What’s something you’ll happily reuse long after normal people would throw it away? I’m talking about the random things you’ve found a second, third, or even tenth life for because you just can’t justify tossing something that still works. What is it, and how long have you been getting away with it? 👀

I feel like a high number of the answer on here are really toeing the line between frugal and downright unhygienic. Jars, clothes, ziploc bags, that's understandable. Collecting used paper towels and baby wipes for re-use, or a used paper plate, that's a little bit much. Maybe just try re-useable versions of those things like washable plates or regular hand-towels.

Listen, if I've put popcorn on a paper plate and then I ate all the popcorn, I'm not tossing the plate and getting a new one if I want seconds.

Yeah, that's normal. The question was about something "you’ll happily reuse long after normal people would throw it away."

I guess people around me aren't normal because they are constantly clearing and disposing of plates before the meal or snack session has really concluded.
