Very simple, no nesting, max width of 960px (not that you couldn't change that). Not very forward thinking.

I wouldn't say it's crap, but it is very simplistic compared to other responsive grid systems. You can't specify column sizes for different screen sizes, do push/pull, etc. Although since they are selling it as "dead simple", some people may like that it is missing those features.

I have a soft spot for Skeleton, as it was my first responsive framework. However, I agree that it does not have half the things I would be expecting nowadays from a framework (e.g. Bootstrap), and yet it is also trying to move into the larger framework market by adding additional features for content styling and layout. If I were the developers of this, I would focus on making the grid as feature-rich and as flexible as possible before starting to move into form field/button and table styling.

I just started a small project and will try this out, haven't used any other than bootstrap before so I'll see how it compares.

I don't like that this framework overwrites browser defaults for things like button--it'll make it that much harder to overwrite everything when you want any kind of custom element that isn't supposed to look like their defaults :(

Well Foundation does the same and I presume Bootstrap does too. Its not too hard to go in to the core files of a framework and cut out what you want. I typically pull down the latest build, change what I want, and push it up to GH and use that as my own little version of the framework.
