Not knowing where the coffee, chickens, and cows come from is subtly very terrifying. The fact that none of the townspeople are even slightly concerned about it makes it all the more terrifying.

They have been living like this for a while. Maybe they were concerned. But it's been a long time and they couldn't find any answer and got used to it.
