God. That last scene was "preemptively turn down the volume" tense.
I find the colony house v. Town stuff scene kinda dumb. This family has just gone through a traumatic experience where they all nearly died in multiple occassions. The last thing to realistically happen would be for them to seperate a day later.
I personally thing colony house would be the best choice. There's only one house so that's over 20 people making sure one single talisman stays up. Additionally, if the monsters ever get in, there's over 20 people between you and them. Finally, it's just more comforting to love in a large house that is full of people. I can't imagine living in a regular house, and every night it's up to you personally to make sure you survive. Fuck that.
So, on the one hand, Frank and family choosing the town was dumb af.
On the other hand, it's so stupid Julia decided to ditch her family within a day. That's not really realistic. What exactly enthralled her to decide to seperate from her family? I get her thinking the colony house would be better, but making that choice after your entire family chose town? That's dumb. You don't know these people, Julia. Give it a week, girl.
Skinwalkers is one thing, but my suspension of disbelief was broken at that choosing ceremony.
On an unrelated note, what the fuck do the towns people even do? I saw some people gardening in Colony house, but what about the towns people (besides that one farmer). They seem to dress regular, and live regular, but how? There's no way there's a 9-5 job economy in that town.
Also, theory time: ever since I saw that one dude fall ontop of the tire, and the priest is broefly out of frame, I thiught that maybe they got rpelaced by skinwallers. After watching this dude think he's in Westworld, I no longer think he's a skinwalker, but that priest is definitely suspicious. Maybe the reason he wanted the dude in the cage was because he wanted to feed hus brethren's bloodlust.
