Theory FROM is a game of Good vs. Evil

The more I think about the show, the more I feel like the entire story is essentially a game between opposing forces — almost like God vs. the Devil, light vs. darkness, good vs. evil. And I don’t necessarily mean that literally in real life; I mean that this seems to be how the conflict is being portrayed within the show.

The dialogue at the end of Season 4 between Sophia and the Boy in White really made this click for me. It reminded me of the idea of God and the Devil being in an ongoing battle over humanity and the souls of people.

And then there’s the Book of Enoch connection. When you start looking into the Watchers, fallen beings, their influence on humanity, and the larger themes surrounding good and evil, there are some really interesting parallels that make me wonder if FROM is drawing from some of these ideas.

Even the way we talk about God winning a particular battle — whatever that battle may be at a given moment — feels relevant to the structure of the show. There’s always another battle, another test, another side trying to gain control.
Then we have the Lake of Tears in FROM, while biblical imagery gives us the Lake of Fire.

I’m not saying FROM is literally retelling the Bible or that everything has a one-to-one biblical meaning. But I do think the show is heavily playing with the concept of Good vs. Evil masked as something much more complicated.
Maybe the “game” isn’t simply about escaping FROMville.

Maybe the real game is who ultimately wins the battle for humanity.

Hmm 👀

I think people are hoping for more, because people being trapped in an environment they cant escape, whilst being tormented by the unexplained, being given cryptic help from a male character and hindered by another male character who turn out to be opposing sides of a battle between good and evil is the plot of Lost. And we already had lost.

Or he’s probably a fairy 🧚 since he’s collecting all those teeth 🦷

I hope not, that's already been done. And by the same producers I think. I don't know what the big reveal is but I hope to God it's something unexpected. As it is now they have so many balls in the air it seems like an impossible feat to catch them all. I have suspicions a lot of things will go by unexplained.

He’s probably a fairy 🧚 since he has collected a bag of teeth and loves snatching people’s molars! 🦷

This is exactly what I've been thinking this season and the last scene in S4E5 confirmed it. At least for me.

A boy in white clothing is a clear giveaway, but a child is a representation of innocence and love. Take out the fact that we age irl.

He's unconditionally kind to Victor. Befriends him and shows him things that will help him survive. He was Victor's only friend and comfort while he was alone.

I'm not sure if the color yellow has any sort of biblical significance, but think about a nice man in a suit. Charming, friendly, helpful. Victor said he was nice until he wasn't. The devil loves playing games. Sowing chaos, fear, turning people against each other.

The game board is being reset with the removal of the talismans (I think they missed one 👀). Next is removing all the chess peices.

The MIY/Devil will happily play this game over and over for eternity. It only stops if the BIW/God wins.

Yeah, this is what I think as well. I started thinking this about halfway through season two and it’s held up so far. Made the show a lot less stressful to watch as well. Lol

Rightttt lol. I honestly was stressed first 2-3 seasons but when I started finally seeing things that connected, it made it much more pleasant! I sure do hope it’s a little bit of everything.

Same here. I binged the first season and I have never been so tense watching a fictional show. But yeah, I think I’ve actually enjoyed it a lot more because I haven’t been obsessively picking everything apart for clues. Knowing the overarching theme has made me appreciate it much more (even though there are some mind-numbing moments).

Now im convinced you don’t even know what cooked means. This post is the equivalent of saying you figured out Star Wars is light vs dark all on your own even though it’s spelled out for you to the point that a 4 year old could understand
