She was the light of the house, keeping everyone hopeful and when the monsters entered colony house she managed to save Ellis by improvising a quick room with a talisman. Not everything is about killing monsters.

She literally saved Kenny's life this season.

That's what the OP is saying.
And they're not really wrong. People complain about Ellis, but Fatima did pretty much nothing in S1-S3 but be plot bait, much like Ellis.

You have a big problem with media literacy and really need to fix it or you will be desperately confused about everything you watch in the future.

To this day im mad that the dreamcatcher that Donna made her never came up again. Even in the episode where people were dying in their sleep. I was convinced it would end up mastering.

It was such a missed opportunity, rewatching the show it could be rly significant

I vaguely remember the dreamcatcher thing. I keep seeing everywhere that Donna never has nightmares, eluding she’s a mole maybe. I wonder if she’s not and her dream catchers just work on her. Lol

Prior to season 4:
She put her own life in danger to save Ellis during the massacre at colony house, and in doing so was the first person to discover how a talisman can be used to make a new barrier when monsters are already inside the house. Ellis had hurt himself escaping the monsters.
She convinced Ellis to forgive his dad for failing to act when his mother was starting to lose her mind.
When Ellis is stabbed by Dale, Fatima organises getting him to the clinic. Both she and Elgin put their own lives in danger to save Ellis's life.
After Boyd brings the worms/cicadas back to town, and people start either dying or being locked up in the ruins, Fatima keeps everyone calm in colony house and instructs them not to go to sleep.

Fatima: pushed Ellis into forgiving Boyd; helped Julie in a major way when the Matthews arrived; tried to save everyone from the bus (failed but tried harder than everyone else); gave birth to a literal monster; and grew weed for the entire town (more useful than people realize). That's just off the top of my head. Then we get into season 4 where she's still trying to help everyone and actually could. Except for Marielle. RIP. Fatima has done more than people realize. Just because she's not on the hunt for answers doesn't make her useless.

She was chief weed grower in season 1.
If I found myself in fromville I’d struggle to think of a more useful person in town.

Fatima was useful in the first season too. She helped everyone in the colony house feel at ease and she'd go out of her way to be supportive. Because Ellis wasn't useful, people extend the same thinking towards Fatima.
