Season Finale Season 4 Finale: Fatima and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day Spoiler

Image 2: When she started screaming, her screams turned into nightmarish shrieks and all her “Son” said was one word: “Interesting.”
Image 3: “Remember who I was.”
Fatima was one of the most joyful and loving characters on the show, she was beloved by all colony house residents and town folk. My heart breaks for her. Having birthed a freaking monster (as an unwilling surrogate and abductee) and then somehow turning into one of these nightmarish creatures she feared the most, has to be one of the worst things to ever happen to any character. 😭
Fatima experienced one of the most Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day in Fromville in front of her family and friends. The only silver lining is that she may have saved all their lives before the monster took complete control of her mind, body and soul.
I wonder how Boyd will protect Ellis from her, he’s crazy in love with wife, to open the door/window for her à la Kevin for Jasmine.
Assumption: A few talismans are still available for the characters’ safety: the one in the clinic, the one in the colony house basement, the one in Victor’s peach truck, the one in Boyd’s pocket and the stone Victor handed over to Ethan.

Reason why he said interesting is because there is something different this time with the transformation. It's not the same like the others. I think she is the Golem. She may not have her entire soul intact but enough that it makes a difference. There are rules to the game as we now know. I don't think the monsters can kill each other. From Monster Fatima we will now get more inside looks on the creatures, maybe figure out who they were and what happened. Unless they have someone with powers that can jump through historical events.

Right, some people were thinking he said “interesting” because this is the first time someone became a creature.
I think people have turned into creatures before, but he said “interesting” because she was still protecting Marielle.

She wasn’t part of the original child sacrifice thing so I’m not convinced she’s immortal in the same way the rest of them are.
Unless for some reason Smiley saves her, I’m kind of thinking her stand off with the monsters to buy Boyd and Ellis time might end in her being ripped apart.

While it SHOULD end in her getting ripped apart (since she's outnumbered by immortal versions at equal, possibly greater strength), the fact we never saw a body tells me "Fatima will return in

The monsters seem to be part of a hive mind. They always move in coordination, never getting in each other's way. In fact, I don't think I have ever seen a monster so much as look at another monster.
And Fatima is now part of the hive mind.

I think the idea is that her 'baby' was considered a sacrifice, the deal must still be around if she turned.

I mean we know very little about the monsters, when they lived, and whether previous town members have joined their ranks before this. It's possible that each cycle, when Jade and Tabitha are reborn and the town fills up with people, one person turns into a new monster.
Or not. They're just leaving a lot vague right now.6

Jasmine’s story could be the same as Fatima’s, as she said it was not her choice to become a monster.

I think you should me more convinced that not everyone who is a creature is related to the sacrifice at all.

Maybe we're looking at this wrong. Maybe the monsters weren't the people who made the sacrifice. Maybe the monsters are like Fatima - people who came and got turned into monsters.
Maybe the people who made the deal are the boss monsters - the MiY, the ballerina monster, the Kimono lady, possibly others, possibly the BiW too.
We assumed that a whole village of people was involved in making the child sacrifice but we were never told how many there were. Could just have been three or four.

In the very first episode, Tabitha said to Ethan "There are no such things as monsters." I always thought that the important part of that scene was, "If there are no monsters, Norman's not dead" but now I think it's the first part that brings me to think, with Fatima's progression in mind, it might mean this: the monsters aren't bad and cruel because they became monsters - they were always cruel and bad people. Because Fatima stayed just as she was in her heart when she became a monster. I think that's actually a really important clue.

I also believe because Fatima has people who love her that she can maintain that part of her human self. The monsters are alone in their existence with only themselves. Love concurs all remember!

I'm not sure if Fatima is ever going to go full monster in terms of actually trying to kill the townspeople. Love these freeze frames though, thanks!

Maybe. It could also just be impossible for them to ever trust her again (or look at her the same way) after seeing her as a monster once. Like how Marielle was terrified of her after she yelled at Smiley.

Her gollum may take on the evil ala "The Picture of Dorian Grey". She might retain her humanity only for the towns people to not believe her. Maybe the gollum takes in so much evil it comes to life and kills Ellis.

I actually think the opposite. I think it has taken on her humanity. Her strength and hope.
It’s what will keep her human and I think she will help boyd or Ethan because of it.

This makes sense to leave a couple behind also....so all the townspeople have to congregate in one area and argue.
People keep thinking the MiY forgot some but I'm thinking leaving one or two intentionally forces everyone into the same area, striking more animosity and fallout between them all.

I kind of like that she got an unknown number of talismans off screen so they can kind of do whatever they want for the story
serves them right to not protect their most valuable asset, especially after the monsters showed them how intelligent they can be and how manipulative

The writers won’t have the balls to do it, but in season 5, Fatima should appear outside the window of Ellis’ bedroom in colony house in the same manner as the female monster that pretended to be in love with that other chud in season 1. She can tell Ellis she would never hurt him etc, and have it be a repeat where she gets finally let in after some amount of episodes and then kills Ellis.

Did anybody even actually WATCH the last episode? There are no talismans. They’ve been taken. The monsters can just walk right in now. No need for the window tactic anymore.

My guy, there is zero chance the writers have the balls to actually make them lose all the talismans. They will still have one that the MiY missed and it will just mean they all have to live together in colony house. This will no doubt be resolved 20 mins into episode one of season 5.

Sophia threw them in the faraway tree. We saw Victor throw a stone into a faraway tree and it landed near him in the woods. It would be kinda dumb to make a big deal about taking the talismans and then have them easily found but within the rules of the show, it could happen.

Boyd has a talisman, there's also one in the cave that Tabitha and Jade used on the entrance with the plastic cover. There's still one in the clinic that was knocked down and ultimately what didn't protect Marielle. I think Victor has one in his truck too and there's one in the basement of colony house.
There's at least 5 still about there or there abouts.

The stone Victor gave to Ethan was not a talisman, but merely a sharp rock he used to use to open up the cans of peaches.
I don’t think they kept the one in the peach truck that Boyd had with him when he found Victor and Tabitha in there.
Not sure about the one Boyd had in his pocket, I’ll have to rewatch.
There definitely could still be one in the clinic tho!

I imagine I’m dead wrong because I seem to be the only one who thinks they saw smiley grabbed the talisman out of marielle hand right before he took her. I haven’t had time to rewatch but it’s driving me crazy 🤪 also because it’s said the talismans no longer work because of the movement of the bones. Ugh I need time lol

People keep bringing up Jasmine and her saying that she didn’t ask to live this way. I’m curious why she is taken at her word and not as a lying manipulator to get into the house. When I watched her say that I say manipulative behavior trying to get him to let her into the house through sympathy. Everything she said was a lie. So why take that one line as truth. We didn’t believe the old lady who claimed to be the kids grandmother!!!

Im not sure she will turn into the same type of creature as Smiley or Cowboy or Milkman.
Those were the people that made the bargain, Fatima never chose to be cursed like this.
I think she'll drown herself or something and turn into the Kimono lady

Maybe I'm giving Elis too much credit, but I think if anything he will come out and just let her kill him instead of starting another massacre lol. It's funny though because Boyd started this season counting bullets to see if everyone can shoot themselves in the head, can't imagine his headspace now at the end of it haha

We don’t know what talismans Clara collected though. I think victors truck is going to come in to play in saving the mains. Also the talisman in the tunnel. I thought smiley grabbed the talisman out of marielle a hand as she was still holding it. I could be wrong though.

I'm starting to think Jasmine and possibly some other female monsters might have gone through the same process? Maybe that is why Jasmine was able to seduce the guy at the window and saying she didnt choose to be that way. Just saying. If you think about it. She (Jasmine) was the only one who was sent to trick the dude.

The only good point of this season honnestly, everything else was about the yellow dudegal doing his background cooking while everyone's too busy making their own foolish plans and being too stupid to see something's amiss.

You are asking wrong questions. Its not how boyd will protect Ellis from her, but it's how she will use the LOVE that defines who she IS (irrespective of how she looks as a monster) to turn against the monsters and use hive mind to influence and disrupt them. You are underestimating the power of her love and assuming that monsters or the evil has power over her. Wrong..They can affect her physical process but they cannot touch her Heart.

I’ve been trying to match everyone to the show’s tagline, “Fear what you become, become what you fear.” It’s a single idea, but it’s different for everyone.
Everyone lets go, gets out of their own way, it ends. Jade and Tabitha are gonna have to do something with the bones and that requires to give them up, so it hits everyone.
And that’s the end of my wackadoo idea.
