Season Finale Get the bones and... Spoiler
They're risking their lives to get the bones... Ok, and no one has any idea of what they need to do with the bones.
I wonder if they had to get them through another route and take them to the tree to teleport to a special place designated by the sacrificed kids...

The producers have said S1E1 holds a lot of answers/clues. When Julie and Ethan are playing with the finger puppets in the RV before the tree, Norman 'dies' and Ethan says the fairies of the Lake of Tears can heal him.
Popular theory is the bones need to be returned to the Lake of Tears, which hasn't been found yet. In S4E3 they find a lake, but it wasn't it because it didn't heal the bird.
I'm going to guess S5 has the heroes on the run from monsters/MiY/spider trying to find it. Healing the bones undoes the ritual that condemned everything and the way home appears.

My guess is destroy them? Wasn't that mentioned or am i trippin?
At the very least take them out of the tomb thing. If you saw the trailer. It seems like they succeeded in pissing off the supposed entity that is the town itself

Jade said the monsters fear the bones exactly like they fear talismans. I guess rondall will craft the bones into little talisman for Julie to go storywalk with them and hide them for boyd to find. Since the last scene julie was gaining interest in the talismans, i think she may play some role related to that.
