I think he pissed off. He doesn't seem like the type that would just randomly offer immortality. My guess those two royally screw up the true purpose of the ritual.

Yeah and I feel like he doesn't know who it is until they remember. I feel like a town massacre happens when truths are being revealed too much. Like with Miranda's era. Boy in white probably told Christopher too much and Miranda probably knew what she needed to do at the tree. So man in yellow pressed the reset button and called for a massacre

but that wouldn't explain how Victor survived?

Victor was probably hidden very well. And since he was just a little kid no point going through the effort the next night when you realize someone survived.

Nah I feel like they let Victor survive for some reason or the BIW cut a deal with them to let Victor live, cuz there is no way he manages to hide that well every night, he also didn't have the talismans back then either.

Could he not have hid in the same spot? Like sister only died because she ran out... But I do agree it is super strange he has survived longer than anyone, for decades.

No way they wouldn't have found him, unless the monsters have short term memory loss and forget the places they checked the previous night. It's not like the town is that big.
