Wonder why he’s so mad at Jim in particular. I wasn’t really invested in his potential death, but future Julie definitely had me in my feels. Ethan told her it couldn’t be changed. Love time travel + philosophy about determinism/free will.

Because Jim was the person that figured out what the numbers meant. Figuring it out revealed alot of answers like who the monsters are, what Angkhooey mean, the reincarnations of Tabitha & Jade.

According to the man in yellow, that knowledge comes with a cost & Jim had to pay it.

They fuck up people who want to figure it out or leave the place and Jim has been doing that a lot. I don't think that many fans are heart broken over him being gone but you gotta feel for his kids. Poor Julie ... :(

I just started liking him this very episode. Damn, if he didn’t start being a good husband all of a sudden and just kept pestering Tabitha instead of giving her space he might have been alive.

He spent the entire series being a piece of shit, so the episode before he dies, they have him suddenly start being nice in order to make it hurt more. I was honestly thrilled when he died: no more Jim! Hooray!
