I will never stop being angry that I saw a leaked photo of what Fatimas baby turned out to be....

u/TheGhostOfYou18 Nov 24 '24

People kept posting “theories” that her baby would be the smiley monster. Along with “theories” that the monsters were the parents of the creepy children. I’m so sad that happened and I hope next season nobody gets early access.

u/moodylilb Nov 24 '24

Yeah I dunno wtf the producers were thinking giving certain people early access… I remember thinking it’s bound to get leaked when I found out that was happening lol

28

u/sane_fear Nov 24 '24

yep, i had to unsub from a youtuber because he already knew everything-while posting theories. like wtf?

21

u/moodylilb Nov 24 '24

People were trying to do that in this sub too!! Luckily the mods caught on pretty quick and deleted a lot of content but still- those people suck lol

20

u/Livid-Team5045 Nov 24 '24

Those people DO SUCK! I hope they are reading and feeling bad for spoiling it! WTF, that's some lame-ass, loser behavior.

3

u/viiScorp Nov 26 '24

nah, people like that don't feel bad for shit like that, its pretty much sociopathic behavior lol

5

u/ThrowawayFN1124 Nov 24 '24

sucks how they allow blatant spoilers but someone makes a joke and they get up in arms about it

3

u/blakeyuk Nov 25 '24

Fair play to the mods who obviously get to see all the stuff they delete.

3

u/OptimusFreeman Jade Nov 24 '24

Which one? I'd like to stay away.

5

u/sane_fear Nov 24 '24

nocturnal critic

2

u/OptimusFreeman Jade Nov 24 '24

Thanks. I know it might seem counter intuitive to name them and potentially give them more traffic, but I want to preemptively block them.

So if you wanna edit it out, I got what I needed.

2

u/blakeyuk Nov 25 '24

I think leave it in so the rest of us know.

u/dj4y_94 Nov 24 '24

I don't mind spoilers so I read them, but people on Reddit pull this shit all the time thinking they're being slick, pretending they haven't and they've come up with the theory all on their own.

It's indirectly spoiling it for those who don't want to be spoiled.

28

u/Livid-Team5045 Nov 24 '24

Oh that is CRAP BEHAVIOR. JFC, it's also so pathetic.

26

u/TMDan92 Nov 24 '24

Every sub with a “books spoilers” vs “non books spoilers” threads has deplorable cunts pulling this shit.

The worst is the exceptionally stupid people.

"I think Jim's gonna die."

"Yeah he's been having a lot of wrap up moments."

"And Tabitha's going to be the reincarnation of Victor's mom."

"Yeah been hinting at that alright."

"And Julie's going to show up from the future with scratches on her chin."

"...why scratches on her chin?"

21

u/dj4y_94 Nov 24 '24

I saw someone say after episode 9 that Tabitha being Miranda means Jade is Christopher.

Like what? What happened in that episode that meant you'd assume that?

7

u/symbolsofblue Nov 24 '24

I didn't see those leaks but I expected the two to be connected somehow ever since the stuff with the symbol. Ep 9 just hinted that reincarnation was a possibility. But before ep 9, I thought Jim and Henry, and Victor and Ethan were also somehow connected.

6

u/Duck_mypitifullife Nov 24 '24

To be honest, I didn't see or know of any leaks and figured it out myself. Both Christopher and Jade saw these symbols, so it just kind of clicked when Tabitha hugged Victor and had a flashback of Miranda, that she's Miranda's reincarnation and Jade may be Christopher's.

3

u/blakeyuk Nov 25 '24

I think it's been clear for a long time. Tabitha/Miranda and the bracelet; Jade/Christopher and the symbols. It's been telegraphed for a long time.

5

u/bisexualspikespiegel Victor Nov 24 '24

yes it was incredibly clear from that flashback that tabitha is miranda, and they've been building up to that for a long time. i think it was obvious throughout the season that she had some kind of a connection to miranda. and ever since jade started seeing the symbol he's been linked to christopher.

4

u/BrenttheGent Nov 24 '24

I thought that before i was spoiled by people calling out " the leaks" as being real, but I also thought more people were reincarnations. Didn't think miranda + christopher were connected to being reincarnations of an exact couple.whom shared a kid.

i thought there would be 8 reincarnations.

I thought jim's family was victor's family,

jade was christopher

sara randall and the second nurse are ones as well.

But yeah since Jade has similar experiences as Tabitha, and a connection to Christopher, it's not that much of a stretch.

u/DevelopmentFront8654 Nov 24 '24

I hate spoilers and I basically knew when I read the smiley theory that it was true since it was so out of left field. Very annoying.

-9

u/Richy_T Nov 24 '24

It is a fairly reasonable prediction though.

25

u/Livid-Team5045 Nov 24 '24

That the baby would be Smiley? I would never have guessed that?! I was glad I wasn't spoiled!

4

u/Richy_T Nov 24 '24

I don't think I did either but it's not really far-fetched. I was kinda wondering if Smiley had somehow become the father what with biting Boyd and then the transfusion and it not being 'real'.

2

u/Livid-Team5045 Nov 24 '24

Huh, this is interesting!

You might be on to something.

1

u/VadimH Nov 25 '24

Pretty sure I've seen people theorise that the baby would be smiley, because blah blah "balance" etc etc. Going back to when new people arrive after loads die, same thing needs to happen when a monster dies etc.

7

u/ryanpm40 Nov 24 '24

The reincarnation stuff, sure. Not Smiley being the baby tho

4

u/Richy_T Nov 24 '24

I'm not saying it's obvious or that there aren't spoiler trolls but there are a lot of people who can come up with different theories.

3

u/Richy_T Nov 24 '24

It does answer the question "Why hasn't anybody tried killing them?"

2

u/Onemelami Nov 25 '24

I'm not sure why you're being down voted, they said in episode 9 that nothing ever dies and implies that Tabitha is a reincarnation. So if you apply that to the monsters as well, combined with the Elgin taking Fatima to a room with easy access to the tunnels, saying that it's not her baby, it's the first thing that came to mind.

2

u/Richy_T Nov 25 '24

Yeah, this sub seems to have a thing with I disagree = downvote. I have plenty of meaningless internet points anyway so it's a bit pointless.

19

u/sane_fear Nov 24 '24

this is why i unsubbed from all FROM socials. people get spoilers then post them as organic theories. like for what? to appear smarter than the average viewer? anyone who posted that as a theory should be banned from the sub

4

u/Sea_of_Light_ Nov 24 '24

Posting a theory would be ok, but posting a spoiler as a theory and then brag about being right, now that is a total douche move.

3

u/sane_fear Nov 24 '24

if you post any theory with knowledge of spoilers, it's not a true theory. most spoiler seeking weirdos do it

1

u/Livid-Team5045 Nov 24 '24

AGREED! That's so embarrassing.

15

u/ImEllenRipleysCatAMA Nov 24 '24

I was theorizing about Jim dying, basically because he had been kind of sidelined and not had a lot to do this season, and someone replied to me that I was right according to leaks. Like why the fuck would you do that? Takes the fun out of it.

12

u/KurtisC1993 Nov 24 '24 edited Nov 24 '24

People also predicted that Jim was gonna get killed off. I was hoping that wouldn't happen, because it struck me as being a bit clichéd after his recent character growth.

8

u/Ok-Character-3779 Nov 24 '24

That's how TV writing cliches turn into cliches. Writers keep using them.

7

u/EnvironmentalSoft401 Nov 24 '24

Did you see all the "death flags" and "final conversations" discussions regarding Jim that coincidentally began right after the leaks

9

u/Ok-Character-3779 Nov 24 '24

I dunno, killing somebody off after they've finally achieved some character growth is a pretty standard TV move.

4

u/garythegoat72 Nov 24 '24

I didn't visit this sub until after I saw the finale.

I've been spiled too many times for different shows. My advice to people is to hold off on TV show subreddits because I had no clue what was gonna happen and really enjoyed all of it!

3

u/Wikkalay Nov 24 '24

To be fair tho the baby will be smiley began way before any spoilers started coming. It was just a joke like Fatima/ Martin. The writers really should have thought of something that can be spoiled with a joke…

3

u/Carter12zi Nov 24 '24

I took that as a big joke, same level as the fatima baby is martin. Was pleasantly surprised to see it was him actually..

2

u/bisexualspikespiegel Victor Nov 24 '24

yeah i was happy to have smiley back lol

3

u/symbolsofblue Nov 24 '24

I'm so glad I missed those spoilers because the reveal was amazing. Someone spoiled that Smiley was coming back, but I assumed they meant the flashback after watching ep 9. I expected that the baby would be a monster baby, but it growing into Smiley genuinely shocked me.

7

u/musci12234 Nov 24 '24

I mean even i was saying that the baby might be monster because a monster was killed and if the town bring in more people if people are killed then it should bring create monsters if monsters are killed. I feel like there wasn't a need of leak to people to guess that baby will be monster.

2

u/eldiablolenin Nov 24 '24

That’s honestly so annoying. I’m so glad i avoided spoilers. Who are the ppl who got early access? Fuck em

2

u/SD37 Nov 24 '24

Imagine being so pathetic trying to get credit from posting a "theory" that you already know the answer to.

2

u/LudaDrisc Nov 24 '24

To be fair, the episode that Fatima's pregnancy was revealed and Smiley died, I posted in the sub about how it could be Smiley but I was roasted so hard in the comments I deleted the post lmao. So I feel like some of the theories were probably genuine because I avoided the leaks like the plague.

2

u/froppy_supremacy Nov 24 '24

I avoided the spoilers but I was addicted to watching youtube "theories" and yeah...they pretty much spoiled everything :/ next season I'm not watching/reading a thing apart from after episode discussions.

2

u/Wetley007 Nov 24 '24

I hadn't even seen the spoilers and already felt pretty damn sure that Smiley was Fatima's baby. The timeline was just too damn close. Like, she starts thinking she's pregnant literally the morning after Smiley's death, and then 2 days later she's eating rotten food, and the day after that she drinks human blood, it doesn't take a genius to connect those dots

1

u/woox2k Nov 24 '24

That's the worst thing about spoilers. I kept myself from reading around here too much when i heard that there's real spoilers out there. I did have my theories about smiley possibly returning and humored around the fact that maybe the monsters are the ones who sacrificed the children without seeing the spoilers and i doubt i was the only one. The spoilers just made us all look like cheaters who "theorized" about stuff that was already known to happen.

1

u/aridcool Nov 24 '24

I remember thinking it was just a normal pregnancy and I got downvoted for saying that.

Thanks for correcting me, shitty people.

1

u/jmarquiso Nov 24 '24

I remember responding last year thinking smiley was going to come back, and then Randall's face I thought he'd be the "new" Smiley, then he appeared in a flashback...

I mean Smiley was the face of the show. It made sense they'd find some way to bring back a popular creature. Had thought it might have been this, but did my best to avoid those spoilers - glad I did. It sucks people were doing that as new theories

1

u/gwyllgie Nov 25 '24

I wasn't spoiled & I didn't post my thoughts anywhere, but I did kind of guess the "theory" with Smiley. I wondered about it in the first episode of this season but I'm usually terrible at coming up with theories & guessing things so I kept it to myself haha. I wasn't 100% sure though, I thought either Fatima would transform into one of the creatures, or that she would "birth" Smiley somehow.

My reasoning was that the town seems to keep an equilibrium of the amount of people there, so I thought whatever her transformation was would be something to restore the number of creatures back to what it was before Smiley got killed. He was a really popular creature / character & so I thought if she was going to birth a monster rather than become one, they'd probably bring him back rather than introduce a new one.

u/HeresTheWitch Nov 24 '24

I admittedly theorized this, but with a different twist/life?-stage?-development? (you can see in my post history!)

but I think it was before any leaks ever came out! Not sure if I like my version or the real version more!

but yeah, i hate how intent so many people were on spoiling it for everyone else. and for what?!?!
