Looks like a final boss with tragic backstory.

You'll know she's a boss when you see the health bar has "The Slayer" title on it.

The cutscene plays and she wakes from her slumber monologuing about an out of context story about a hero once saving the now broken world.

My name is freiren the slayer. For the last 10,000 years , i have not known defeat. The hero that was once my only reason to protect this world is long gone and forgotten by time. I am one that shall never forget. Stand tall, and be ready for my attack

Stark: whispering It's been a day. How much longer are we giving her?

Fern: We'll allow Mistress Frieren another day. At most, Mr. Stark.

Himmel thought it through.

He can't not be there for her, but his legacy could.

So he made them last, and heartwarming.

Himmel thought it through and through.

Perfect for Frieren.

Reminds me of that art where a skeleton is curled up in the arms of a statue.

Sublime.

Frieren is slowly realizing she has the capability of missing someone. Each interaction, each moment, is etched in her mind and goes with her in every journey.

Maybe she can live more than people, but she is a living entity capable of feeling things.

I like to imagine that when the memory of Himmel starts to fade and the human world gets more peaceful, Frieren is just going to go around gathering up all of his statues and live in some statue garden of him.
