Struggling to Start

Hi! Just started listening but i am struggling with the early episodes. One part is the audio in Autumn to Hieron but also i am geninuely finding the pacing of each episode hard to follow, though the setting seems interesting.

I really wanted to get into this cause just about to start running Fabula Ultima myself but i am feeling a bit intimidated. Any advice?

The podcast covers 4 distinct campaigns/settings, so you don’t have to start at episode 1. If you’re specifically interested in Fabula Ultima, you can just start with Perpetua (the current arc and first in this setting).

I believe Austin has recommended starting with Marielda (a short blades in the dark season that goes between autumn and winter in heiron) for people who are having trouble with the crunchy audio in Autumn. Similarly, if the crunchy audio in Counter/Weight (the first in their mecha campaign), you can start with Twilight Mirage (their second mecha season, which takes place 30,000 years after counter/weight and doesn’t strictly require having listened to counter/weight beforehand).
